I'm sorry that you are struggling, but thank you for sharing them. It is important for homeschoolers to be honest that homeschooling can be hard sometimes. As a long-time homeschooler, I can totally relate!
I think we might do that for my daughter- at least try high school so we know what will be a better fit! But your wisdom is so good. God just be with me today.
I keep praying to make the right decisions about my children's schooling every day, and for better or worse, this is where God has put me. It doesn't mean that it isn't sometimes a cross, however. Also, my older two children (now in their mid-twenties) had attended school when they were little and it was a poor fit for them due to what I now know as their neurodiversity, so even on the hard days, I knew school wasn't a better choice for them (one of them did go to college). My daughter, after being homeschooled her whole life, wanted to try high school. She went for four months, decided it was not for her, and wanted to go back to homeschooling, so we are back at it. :) Keep praying, take one day at a time, do the best you can. That's all we can do.
Beautiful wood work by your husband! Praying you’re encouraged this week in a special way. Our Lord’s plan for our kids is so hard to surrender to when it’s not clear to us and doesn’t follow the path of so many others. But He is good and He is faithful and loves our kids more than we do. May we be icons of His love to them even in the hard seasons. Thanks for reminding me of that today.

I can relate to your struggles with discouragement. Once I read this line from Caryll Houselander, I knew I'd encountered an understanding soul (albeit one no longer walking this earth): "I am so much a sinner that I understand well how the slightest discouragement from outside oneself, added to the chronic close-on-despair insider, can crush one altogether."

Thank you! Yes, the hard part is not being able to see how it will all work out! It’s a tremendous amount of surrender, isn’t it.
